The “Classic” jerky line has 6 distinctive flavors: Original, Teriyaki, Black Pepper & Garlic, Brown Sugar, Jalapeño and Smoked Spicy Sweet.
The “Natural” line will be available in the Fall of 2008 in stores and on our web site:
- Blueberry Blast! (sweet and redolent of blueberries)
- Cranberry O (made with cranberries, the “O” stands for oregano; it tastes like pizza)
- Brew Pub (savory and made with de-alcoholized beer)
- Simply Maple (on the sweet side with savory undertones)
Our jerky is 97% protein (ensuring sustained energy) and only 3% fat. The calorie count is a modest 50 to 70 per ounce. As part of a healthy diet, jerky offers us a very tasty flavor experience in an instantly edible form….it’s great as a “grab and go” food, as a snack or incorporated into meals. It has a 12 month shelf life from the date of manufacture.
We have a production facility in Canyonville, Oregon that is inspected every production day by USDA. (USDA inspectors make certain that meat production in the United States produces healthful and safe products for human consumption.) The plant employees are meticulous in their work, hand slicing the steak into narrow strips, hand measuring the seasonings into a brine, brining the meat overnight, air drying it in special ovens, cutting it into strips and packaging it.
